Obama On "The View" - First Time A Sitting U.S. President Visits A Daytime Talk Show

ABC's "The View" has welcomed many notable guests, but none more prominent than President Barack Obama.  He is scheduled to visit for the upcoming Thursday edition.  The majority of the hour will be devoted to Obama's appearance and will touch on topics that will include jobs, the economy, the Gulf oil spill and family life inside the White House.  The show will be taped on Wednesday.

Savannah River Site - Stimulus Success - South Carolina is home to one of the nation's largest stimulus projects: $1.6 billion used to hire more than 3,300 to cleanup the old plant.  The people in the rural communities that surround the Savannah River Site have been left behind as the unemployment rate shot up to higher than 20 percent during the past two years.  Workers will dismantle and clean up the old plant and prepare it for its next mission as part of one of the nation's largest stimulus projects.

The Homeless Gets Medical Care Center

It is called the Butterfly Medical Respite Care Center and it provides recuperative care for homeless adults, who have been discharged from a hospital or other medical specialty facility and is still in need of a place to recover.
